Tristan was just saying how amazing it is that time can go by so fast and yet so normal at the same time - hard to explain but I'm assuming you understand - we have now had Sigel for one year.
May 18th 2009 he came to live with us for what we thought would be a few months - it has turned into a year - a year of successes, challenges, new things, adjustments for all of us - but ultimately it has been a great year. He is a great kid and the distance that he has come in the last year is incredible! We do not know how much longer he will be with us - we are all still waiting for his adoption with the Prior family to come through - the process has just taken longer than we were expecting.
This last Friday we had all of our ministry over (15 of us) for a bonfire - unfortunately it was pouring rain the whole night - so instead we moved it inside and roasted hot dogs and marshmellows in the fireplace. We played pictionary - a first for many of the kids - and it turned into a huge hit! Tristan was the ring leader and at some points it was so loud that we couldn't even think. :) It was a fun evening of getting together for good fellowship. Sigel had a great time and enjoyed knowing the party was for him.
