Email sent today / Jenny's Blog

Our friend Jenny has been staying with us for the past 6 weeks while she attends language school in her preparation to move down here again (we were teachers with her our first year here) but this time to work at a poor daycare. It has been so fun to have her staying with us - she's easy to have around and I've really enjoyed having a friend around all the time. On the weekends she's been in the city at another friends house - and all of us miss her - Sigel prays for her at bedtime and always tells her she misses him. This Sunday Jenny leaves for the States to finish her fundraising and will then return.

Her last blog is about life living at our house. It's fun to hear another's perspective on life here.

Email update I sent out today:

Hello all!

We have had a very full and great month of April! Lots of the prayer requests I sent out last time have been answered - and we love sharing all the great ways that God is moving!

*Our Dodge truck is now officially a resident of Honduras! After 16 months of working with paperwork, lawyers, etc the truck has Honduras plates! It was easier for us to our residency than for the truck to be imported. The 2 great things about this is that we no longer need to leave the country every 90 days and we're stopped at police check points less often. Thanks for all the prayers!

*We have seen some progress in Sigel's adoption paperwork! The adoptive family are in the final days of collecting all the required papers and having a completed homestudy and will be sending the paperwork to us in the next week. The lawyer here in Honduras will then begin working to complete the Honduran side of the adoption! Continue to pray for speedy progress!

* We have a job lead for Jorge - pray that is works out both for Jorge and for the hotel kitchen that he's applying to work at.

* The medical clinic walls are going up so fast! Within the next 2 weeks all the walls and support beams will be finished. This involved Tristan getting 160 100lb bags of cement, and 6 dumptrucks of sand to the site- for pictures of progress on the clinic visit our web site! (www.mohagenadventures.blogspot.com). I'll post more as soon as the walls are completed.

* In the last email I told you we were in a drought - well the last 2 weeks we have had the strangest weather for this season - big huge rain storms EVERYDAY!!! Praise God! I think God likes to confuse the weathermen. Although water is still being rationed, the rains are a reminder that God is in control and He is in charge of the water! Please continue to pray for more rain.

* The countdown continues to the birth of our daughter - 5 weeks to the due date! Continue to pray for the final days of mypregnancy and for the delivery.

* Weekly activities are continuing strong - feeding program, English classes, youth group, school with Sigel, tutoring Jorge, Tristan goes to El Ayudante 2 days each week to work, plus the mentoring of the youth, organizing teams, orchestrating all construction for El Ayudante etc. There is also always the random project - currently we're working on putting in a play structure at the poor government school that we minister at - I'll send pictures when we finish!
Thanks for your participation in our lives! Continue to check out the blog for more detailed descriptions on what's happening with us!
