Yes I'm sentimental

Hanging out with Dan and Sarai in Sacramento. 

We've been back in the States for a week. We had 15 people see us off at the airport! I felt so loved to have all these people show up just to say goodbye and chat for a while. It was sad to say goodbye  - especially to Sigel (so much for Mascara!)  The trip here was long but good (we flew - didn't drive this time). We had the pleasure of our friend Dina traveling with us for the first leg of the trip  - she's not the flying expert so she was a bit nervous but she did good. She's from our ministry and she's studying in the states for the next 6 months. We dropped her off and continued on to San Francisco - getting in around midnight. We enjoyed the week of seeing some people but mostly just laying low and enjoying catching up on sleep and being with family. We've done a few dinners with people, threw a birthday party for my mom-in-law, spent the day with my brother and his girlfriend, and spoke at Trinity Evangelical Free Church. Tristan is now off camping for Lucas's bachelor party and then tomorrow and Saturday we have wedding stuff going on with Lucas.

This morning we went to Tristan's uncle Rick's house and went with him to DMV for my old car that he bought from us 2 years ago. Oh the Nissan Sentra - most of you have seen it (way cute, green, with a sunroof) -started as my mom's car and now it's been with me through Minnesota, Oregon, college in L.A. and in the Bay Area. Lots of road trips, hours of commute time, sunroof down screaming out Jennifer Knapp with Chelsea, trips to the beach, back and forth to school, Young Life adventures, you name it. Anyways, I had the privilege of driving 'my car' again today and it was so much fun - I really do think it's the greatest car ever - it just fits. But it's probably the best because of the memories and the millions of people that have ridden in it with me. so yes, I'm sentimental!

I want to enjoy the memories, plan for the future, but live in the present (only way to make more memories right!)
