The last few days Sigel has been very emotional and I think nervous, but Monday morning he woke up happy and excited to see them. We first went for a haircut (because his HUGE sideburns made him look like Elvis). The haircut was fun - they used an electric shaver and he was giggling the whole time because it was tickling him. They the lady did it up with gel and he thought that was cool. We then picked up flowers - because he wanted to give Mary a gift, so he picked out a beautiful bouquet of flowers. When we got to the airport we went where we could watch the plane land - that was way cool to Sigel. Then we sat around and waited FOREVER for them to clear customs (* Tegucigalpa airport only has like 4 planes come in a day - and they all come in within 1 hour so it's hectic and takes forever for people to clear customs!) . Sigel kept asking us why they weren't coming out and where they were and when they finally came - Sigel took off through the crowd and ran to meet them - giving Mary a huge hug! Even Tristan admitted that he was "tearing up a little".
We then all went to a restaurant for lunch, and to Leonie's house for the afternoon and evening. He did really well with all the commotion. He was a bit overwhelmed a few times and I know the language barrier is hard - but he'll make it. It's been really fun to see them connecting and to know that Sigel is going into such a wonderful family!
Today we finally had our appointment to get him homeschool curriculum in Honduras. It took 4 hours! Because he wasn't there so we had to go and come back and then Sigel had to take a test to test into a grade - well poor Sigel felt so much pressure that he started crying and it took him almost an hour and a half to do 3 pages. But all the questions he answered he got correct. So, he is officially in 3rd grade and enrolled in a Honduran government school. The great thing is that he can do this and then we will continue to supplement with English classes, handwriting, reading etc. So I'm glad that's over with. Seeds of Change now has a school :).
Tomorrow Sigel has his first ever dentist appointment! Pray that it goes well and that he's not traumatized because I think he's going to need lots of tooth work!
* Please be praying for Tristan - we think he has parasites. He's hardly been eating (and we all know that's not normal!). We just got him medicine to clean out parasites so hopefully that's the problem and we can clear this up. It's been over two weeks of him not eating and feeling awful!
