It's official!!

Last week we went to immigration to get Sigel's Honduran passport - part of the process for him to be adopted. While we were there we checked on our residency cards (because we only had temporary ones). Well they were ready!!!!! This is a miracle because usually people get stuck in the process of having a temporary one for a long time and have to pay a lot of extensions. So we are now officially residents of Honduras. The benefit to this is that we do not have to leave the country every 90 days for our visa. Hopefully we can now figure out the truck and trailer so we don't have to leave for that.

We now have a full flock of chickens - we picked up Pico today (he's our rooster). His name is Pico because of Pico de Gallo... gallo means rooster. :) Tristan's a funny guy :)

Sigel is doing great! His english is quickly getting better - everyday he's learning new words and trying them out all the time. His adoptive mom and brother are coming out next Monday to visit him for 2 weeks and he's really excited about that! He keeps talking about her and we're coming up with fun things to do. We had a game night the other night and had a bunch of people over - we played Spoons for 2 hours. Sigel caught on so fast and he actually almost won the game - he still hasn't stopped talking about that night. I also took him swimming last week and he had a blast - he was a bit nervous about the depth of the pool but he loved playing and swimming. His school is going well. He loves to learn and is really responsible about doing his homework.

Tristan & the truck assisted a team to go out to a mountain town to work where the team is building a community center and church. It was about a 5 hour drive and he said it's completely gorgeous out there! He spent the night and returned the next day. Thankfully it didn't rain that night because from where he was sleeping (inside) he could look up at the stars :). Sounds like we'll be assisting with this project as needed. Tristan really made some great connections with the team and they hit it off really well.

Besides that life goes on, women's Bible study on Mondays, feeding project on Thursdays, two days of Spanish, staff meetings, working at El Ayudante, planning teams, Tristan discipling Santos, me giving drum lessons, Tristan soon to start giving guitar lessons, and all the time and energy with Sigel. Life is full and good!
