Hello family and friends!

An update on what is happening with Tristan & I:

Last week we were in Florida visiting with Tristan's family and Mickey & Minnie. We had a great time at Disney World, Epcot Center, at the pool, watching the space shuttle take off, and just being with family. It was wonderful! We also had a surprise visit from a friend of mine that I haven't seen in 4 years and I was able to spend a day with her which was really great! It was a very refreshing vacation but we were both excited to come back home and continue with life. :)

This morning we picked up a friend of my cousin's who is volunteering as a doctor for the next two weeks with various ministries. So we have scheduled her time and will be assisting her in helping lots of patients throughout the next 2 weeks.

Also, tomorrow morning we will be receiving a new addition to our family - Siguel. He is 11 and is in the process of being adopted by a family in the States. We will be fostering him until the family is able to come and get him which will hopefully be within the next 4 months. We will be helping him transition which will be very involved - not only will we be teaching him English & new foods, we'll be dealing with his past of extreme malnutrition and physical abuse. To make a long story short, the situation is very violent and tramatic for the family & tomorrow everything will come to a climax. Tomorrow I will be taking Siguel home while Tristan drives the mom and other children to a new home to get away from the abusive father. Please pray for safety and wisdom tomorrow as the father is not at all happy with this situation & resorts to violence easily. So please pray for us! Also in the days to come, pray for us and Siguel as we learn how to live with each other. Pray that language would not be a barrier & that we would be able to help him in the process of healing from all his past hurts & that he will transition to this new life for him easily. He has so much to overcome!

Also please also pray especially for Tristan as we have a big construction team that will be working on the medical clinic at El Ayudante on May 29th and 30th and there is a lot to do before they come! This is a group of 30 that is coming from the church/school that we worked with last year. They will be putting up the walls to the clinic! Praise God for friends that have caught the vision and are helping us!.

Thank you for your prayers! We depend on them immensely as we are doing things that are beyond us and we are depending on God to take the lead. We love you! You are a huge part of our ministry here and we depend on your support! Thanks!

It takes a really special and unselfish person to open their home, their marriages and their hearts to these lost kids. I wonder who will be changed more, Tristan and Elizabeth, or the youngster!!! God bless you guys, we are thinking and praying for you!
