Yesterday we picked up a team of 21 people from Tennessee. They represent 10 different churches - a lot of them are retired and spend their time traveling around helping people. Some of them go down to New Orleans and volunteer there a lot. It's a really neat group. This groups goal is to do a lot of finish work on the dorm house that will house teams when they come to work on the rest of the complex and eventually run the medical clinic that is also being built on the land. (this is with El Ayudante). So they are doing cabinets, showers, bathroom stuff, building two patio's, fixing the water pipes, and finishing electricity. So this is a very important team.
Tristan and I spent all day today being the gofers for them. We were in town running from hardware store to hardware store trying to get the right parts at the best price. This is a smaller town than the capital so not everything is available. It was an interesting day, hunting down stores that had moved to different locations, finding out the spanish words to the parts and tools (for example an anchor - it's a "taco fish" in spanish). At least for today, this was the best help we could be for the team - finding all the missing pieces so they could keep going. They're all really good at construction and wow did they get a lot done!
We are still without our truck - as it is in the shop because the clutch went out. We found out tonight that it will cost $1,000 to fix. ouch. So we've been using John's truck to get all the stuff for the team - well tonight his clutch was acting out and he thinks it's going out as well. So we'll be without trucks - both John and Tristan for at least another week because it will take that long to get the part. The next week of transportation and trying to get materials to the team will be interesting. But God will provide - there'll be a way. Just another adventure in Honduras :).

We saw your truck at Jose's tonight when we went to pick up our car YET AGAIN...and John's was there on monday when we dropped our car off! Oh the joys of owning a vehicle...but they're so nice to have when they are running!
Oh, if you decide you want to move to El Hatillo (and we'd love having you that close, even though its not as convenient for you guys), I can always check on that house near the school...
Sorry to hear about the truck... Sounds like you guys are having a great time, though! :)
