Getting to serve

Well Beth and I (thats right tristan is writing this!!) got to help a family on Friday. We had been introduced to a family of 4 (now 5 with a month old baby) that was living in a 12x12 lean-to with a dirt floor. We offered to buy the materials and pour a concrete floor for them. When we got to the house on friday morning the dad was there ready to help and he had already leveled out the floor and packed it with broken up asphalt which was awesome. We had enough help and after a lot of swet and hard work we got the whole job done in about 4 hours.

It was great to have the dad helping because he cared and is involved in his family which is great. the family lives up in the mountains where they get A LOT of rain so the floor will be great and improve their health conditions as well. Two of the guys helping are young men that i am trying to get involved with so it was awesome to have them there and to get to know them better. It felt great to be helping people and building relationships. Beth held the baby and talked with the mother all morning, her spanish is getting so much better, she's great!

We love you guys!!!!

Tristan and Beth
