Day 5 - Las Cruces NM to San Antonio Texas

Today was our longest day so far -  595.9 miles. It was a long day! We left around 8:30 and drove through Eastern Texas. If you haven't been there, you're not missing much (no offense Texans). It was lots of lonely interstate with few cars on the road, not much to see on the sides. You could see forever as it is pretty flat, except for some cool rocks and a few hills. oh and guess what - we stopped to try to get ice cream at Dairy Queen... and they were out of ice cream too! craziness... so we still haven't gotten our blizzards.

How does one entertain itself on a long day such as this? Singing loudly, talking, memorizing Bible verses, talking on the phone, bothering Max (tickling his paws!), bothering Tristan ( he he) , listening to The Adventures of Tom Sawyer audiobook - very entertaining, and eating. :) Amazing how you can be tired at the end of a day like that - but we were both really tired at the end.

We arrived in San Antonio around 8pm, found some dinner and relaxed. Tomorrow we will spend the day in San Antonio - sightseeing and running some last minute errands.
