2014.
I can't believe that we're already 1/4 of the the way through the year. Crazy. This first quarter has been FULL to say the least - which is a good thing considering how much we're trying to get done in just one year.
God sure has been stretching us this year - even into movie making - check out the movie we starred in :) VISION2014 VIDEO: (click on the words for the link)
Quick recap in case you haven't heard what El Ayudante is doing this year:
1. Staff care: building homes for our staff to live safely and be equipped to serve in the communities - this includes 1 new home, 1 addition to a home, and 3 apartments! Also we are focusing on growth in our abilities and unity as a team - setting up things
2. Open the Clinic: Since the start of the new year we have hired a full time Doctor (to start in June), gotten another dentist (doing her social service year), and have a new missionary couple working with us to lead up the clinic! Our open date is the middle of July and we have a huge to-do list before that date!
3. Transform Communities: continue working with the leaders of the community to dream and accomplish those dreams with them - to equip them to lead through example and help their community advance.
It's exciting times!
NOW - let me show you the construction efforts so far this year! Tristan, Jeremie, and any volunteers we can get have been working hard in the 100 degree heat to make this house happen! Currently the entire house is framed in and sheeted and prepped for the roof trusses - which is this weeks work.

My Dad came to visit for a week! (and when he wasn't playing with the grandkids, he was working with the guys!  3 apartments being built! The roof tin will go on this week! |
