Day 6 - San Antonio

Today was great. We slept in, did some reorganizing, then took Max to the vet. He had to get his International Health Certificate which says that he does not have any diseases and that he is healthy. Praise God he passed - he has been a bit sick for the past week or so, but he passed with flying colors.

We then went downtown and saw the Alamo. It was neat. After that we strolled along the River Walk and ate lunch on the path. It was fun. We had Max with us at this time and he was very popular with the crowd. :) After that we did some last minute shopping - used up the last of our Christmas gift certificates.

Our friend and co-missionary to Honduras is doing the rest of the journey with us because he's done the journey many times. So Tristan picked him up from the airport this evening. We have now loaded the last little things into the trailer. Tomorrow morning we leave at 5am for Brownsville - the border town. We will then do our paperwork for crossing the border.

Day 6
Day of rest :)
