Day 10 - Southern Mexico to Guatemala City, Guatemala

Today was interesting. We left the hotel at 5am and headed for the Mexican/Guatemalan border. We arrived around 8:30am and then found a transmitador (person you hire to do your paperwork) and he started our paperwork. So we sat around from about 9am until we completed the process and were freely into Guatemala at 1pm. John said that this was amazing time! No problems really and this was faster than the norm. So Praise God! We then had 4 hours until the capital city where we are staying for the night. We got stuck in traffic for a while and finally found our destination by about 7pm. We are staying with friends of John (missionaries) in Guatemala City. It's nice to be in a house! We've been on the road for 10 days now and it's nice to feel the comfort of a home.

Day 10
14 hours total (including sitting around at the border)

Despite flat tires, broken trailers, bad roads and anything else that comes your way, keep that in mind. Love ya!
