Endings and Beginnings

Looks like we're moving next week! I can't believe how quickly everything has come together for us to be moving to Comayagua. Moving is SO MUCH WORK :(. But we're slowly getting things checked off - Tristan has fixed some things around the house, we've been cleaning and organizing and starting to pack. Today and tomorrow I"ll be doing a lot of packing as yesterday Tristan went and got a lot of boxes.

Endings - this last week was our last youth group with Seeds of Change. We have all really enjoyed being a part of the youth group and I know that we will miss that a lot! Tristan has done a lot of preaching at the youth and we have some relationships with those kids that we're sad to see end. We also had a birthday party at our house last night for Vanessa - the transitioning orphan that is a part of Seeds of Change. We have always used our house for get togethers for the ministry and for friends and that was probably the last one. It was simple - just had a nacho bar and played Twister and hung out - but it was very fun and I was bittersweet for me. I love hosting parties and making people feel special in that way. As sad as I am to be leaving I have such an incredible peace that it's hard to argue. We are also really excited about all that is happening in Comayagua and being able to really poor into El Ayudante with all of our time and energy. Looks like this is Sigel's last week of school at his school here and that by the end of next weekend we'll be completely moved to our new house.

My Kids:

Sigel apologized to me without anyone making him!!! I was so proud that I almost cried (not in front of him of course!) Apology is such a big issue with him and I can't believe that it was all on his own. yea! He just got his grades for 3rd quarter and he was 2nd in his class - receiving all very high grades! Yesterday he had a friend over to play for the afternoon and they had a great time playing with airsoft guns.

Madelyn is refusing to take long naps but at least she's sleeping through the night a lot better than a couple weeks ago. We're all feeling more rested. She also has 2 adorable (and razor sharp) bottom teeth that just came in a couple weeks ago. She is crawling and pulling herself up all over the place and loves to get into trouble. Seems like the only interesting 'toys' are the ones that aren't allowed - like inside the fireplace and eating dog food. Maddy also has discovered spitting - spitting out food, spitting in general, and spitting with her tongue out. It's cute if it's not your child :)

(this is Maddy's new smile - she wrinkles up her nose and does this laugh through her nose - it's funny and really hard to explain - but believe me - it's funny :) -and you can see her teeth!
