Wow. I now completely understand why the Grand Canyon is so amazing! Pictures certainly don't do justice! We were on the south rim and went to a lot of the lookouts and walked around a bit. It was very cold and windy and we had Max so although we had wanted to do a bit of hiking, we settled for seeing the views and doing a bit of walking along the top. It was amazing. The colors and the layers of the rocks were fantastic. This was just enough as a tease to us - we now want to go back for a longer time and hike down to the bottom and go rafting on the Colorado River which runs through it. It's a must see.
We left the park around 2 and drove to Phoenix to see Tristan's sister. We got to Jenn and Duane's around 6, had a great dinner and hung out. Tomorrow we'll drive harder than we have been :). We'll maybe make it to El Paso, Texas.
