Tristan and John started inspecting the trailer at 7am. They found that the tire only had a puncture and that the leaf spring (for those of you that know what that is) had fallen apart - but we had all the parts except a bolt. So we went into town because we had seen a spring shop (amazing for this little town!). They gave us the right bolt and re-tightened the spring for a grand total of $2 (including a spare bolt in case it happened again). We then went to the tire store, hit it off with the owner who gave us a grand tour of his shop and fixed our tire for free! So Tristan and John put the trailer back together and by 12noon we were back on the road. Pretty easy considering what it could have been. I am so happy/blessed to have a mechanic for a husband!
We arrived in Tegucigalpa around 7:30. It was so exciting to come over the top of the hill and see the city laying in the valley below. We were both grinning ear to ear with joy! It felt so great! We ate dinner in town and headed up the hill to park the trailer. We finally got home (to John and Adrianna's around 10pm.) Our journey is complete.
Total Trip: 13 days, 4,231 miles from El Sobrante California to Tegucigalpa Honduras.
