we're leaving tomorrow!!!!

We leave tomorrow for Antigua Guatemala!

It's Holy Week starting tomorrow so we're going touring! :) We have a half day tomorrow and so after we torture our kids with terrible tests all morning, we're taking a driving trip to Antigua - it's about 14 hours away and we have to cross the border... We're very excited and think that it'll be great. We'll be there until Wednesday and then we drive back all day on Wednesday to be home to pick up my mom and brothers from the airport on Thursday morning... fun, fun, fun. :)

This week has been busy. The kids and the teachers are all ready to leave school. Construction is happening (see previous post) and half the teachers were sick this week. Tristan woke up sick this morning so he took half a sick day today and is feeling a little better. We don't have substitutes for classes here - so if a teacher is out, the other teachers loose their preps to cover that teachers classes. So, one day 6 high school teachers were out and there weren't enough teachers to cover all the classes - so, they canceled classes and instead all the high school had a soccer tournament all day long. That's how we do it around here I guess... but, elementary still had normal classes.
