My parents came for Thanksgiving – as well as my sister and
family moving back to live!
In the 6 years that we’ve lived in Honduras, every time my
parents come down, they jump into our normal busyness and get sucked into
working with us J.
Well this time we decided to do it differently – and instead go on vacation for
a few days! So we rented a house on the north coast where it’s always hot and
sunny, with plans to swim and catch the waves, and get sunburned while spending
time together.
We succeeded in the time together part– but realized as we
were driving up to the house that the weekend wouldn’t be as planned. It was
cold. Rainy. And flooded. We found out a
storm was going through and it would clear the day we were leaving. It wasn’t
as planned, but we did have a good time. We played games, ran around in the
neighbors yard since that wasn’t flooded, and we played in the ocean some
anyways. I don’t think the kids realized what they were missing.
My sister and Tracy both wrote blogs about the same weekend
– if you want to read theirs:

The storm carried in lots of disgusting garbage and huge logs - here we had to move the log out of the way so we couple play in the waves and not have the log knock a kid over :)
Sigel dug a hug hole/tunnel - it was pretty cool!
