What happened in March:
Family Stuff:
* Found out that we're having another girl! As of today I'm 23 weeks pregnant.
* Maddy has fallen and gotten hurt WAY too many times this month - including a bee sting to the ear, a centipede bite around her big toe, a fall that created a deep cut by her eye (1/8inch over and it woulda been in the eye!), and a fall from a swing with her finger stuck in the chain - we're thankful she had a finger left after that one! It was cut deeply all the way around her finger, super swollen, and we think it was dislocated too. and she also took a dive into a Pila full of water - scaring me to death - Thank you Jesus that I was there to pull her out! So it's been a tough month on maddy.
* Sigel went to a convention with his school - he was gone for 4 days and competed in races, high jump, piano solo, powerpoint presentation, and soccer - this was a big deal for him to go to something like this and we're so proud of him! he said he had a great time and was glad that he went!
* Tristan has been running all over the place juggling lots of plates and somehow keeping them all spinning. The biggest has been the construction of the medical clinic and figuring out what construction codes we need to be following per the laws of Honduras on the clinic. He also has been working on the plans for the houses we're building to sell (investment/side business).
Ministry:
* We've had some work days on Saturdays that some community members have come to work for the day in order to pay off the token fee they are responsible for in order to have a water purifying filter installed at their house. Lots of great work/hard work was done on the grounds - chopping and cleaning up and digging some trenches for water and electrical lines.
* We attended the Honduran Fellowship of Ministries and Missionaries retreat last weekend in our old pueblo - Valle de Angeles and had a great time. We all had colds which put a damper on it but it was great to meet some new missionaries and also to reconnect with others that we haven't seen in a long time. Tristan helped out leading worship and we stayed with our friends the Horsts which is always fun. Sigel slept out in a tent with the youth for the first time ever - and he even enjoyed it! :) ((you know - we're in the teen age years - nothing is 'fun')) :)
* My English class has gotten so big and I keep having people asking to join, that this coming week I'm going to start a second class in hopes of keeping the classes below 12 people and not holding back the advanced group due to the newbies joining in. the new class will be at level 1 again.
Those are the highlights - there are lots more little things but this sums up the big things. :)
