Packing up - the last week

Tonight is our last evening at home before we hit the road in the morning. The last week has been filled with to-do lists, packing, and getting things set to go.

We got most of our stuff out of the storage unit, looked at it and decided that we probably had way too much stuff and not enough room. So in my head I started thinking about what I was willing leave behind (although my Kitchen Aid was not on the list :) ). So we finally started putting it all in the trailer around 3pm and by 6pm we had 2/3 of the trailer filled with stuff and were now thinking that we might be able to fit it all! :) We had been given a washer, dryer, and stove to take down with us and so we stuff those with odds and ends - bet you've never had shoes in your stove before! The next day we finished loading and it ended up that we only have to leave the gas grills behind. So we are pretty happy with how much we were able to get in our trailer!

We also found out more information regarding our border crossing into Mexico. We have sent our trailer and truck titles (which we FINALLY received from DMV), copies of our passports and Drivers Licenses, and also an inventory list of everything that we are taking down with us! They will then do all our paperwork and translate it all. oh - and when we cross we have to be at the border at 3am! Yikes! We're sure learning a lot about this whole process.

We had a great last dinner of things that we don't get in Honduras - Steak, artichoke, and mushrooms!

We leave sometime tomorrow and we're hoping to get to Barstow CA. I'll keep you updated! Please pray for safety on the road and that we have a smooth, uneventful journey, and that we have fun! :)

So glad you have shoes in your stove. If there's ever a game where I need to know a random fact about you, I think I will win.

Stars Hollow and I will miss you (both), although I'm sure Tristan has no idea what Stars Hollow is ;)

Love you. Safe travels.
