We Are Here!

After months and months of talking about going to Honduras, we are finally in the country!!! Our plane flight was fine - nothing exciting happened - which was a good thing. Customs went smooth and we now have our 2nd stamp in our passport. We were greeted by 7 people from the school and big bus to carry our stuff - which was very good because we had SO MUCH STUFF!!!! There were also 2 other teachers on our flight and one of the 7 to greet us was a teacher that arrived yesterday. Also in our greeting party was the principal of the school, the pastors wife of the church, and the director of all the other schools that we are associated with. They then took us to drop off our stuff at our new apartment.

Our apartment is small but has plenty of room. A cute little kitchen with everything from a blender (non alcoholic smoothies only) and a coffee pot. We have a giant king size bed and cable TV. They have been apoligizing about the size and say when a bigger apartment opens up they will move us to that one. We´ll see - we´re happy with what we have. They did say we will get a washer and dryer in our new place.

After the grand tour, we went to our first meal in Honduras... Applebees!!! Very authentic ;). We´re now on our own until we meet up with everyone for dinner. Tomorrow we have off to get settled and then Saturday they are taking us to ¨Souvenir Town¨ to see whatever there is to see there.

More info and pictures to come!
Love ya! Tristan and Beth

Thank you for letting us know so quickly that you were there! I'm so excited for you.
Applebees -- what a treat that must have been!
Sounds like a pretty nice spartment, although a washer and dryer would be nice. It's great so many people came to meet you and really good they had a bus. You would have filled up about 4 taxis!

We were very happy to hear that you both arrived safely. I am very curious how your were able to take so much. When we sent Nick to New York he could only take two pieces of luggage so I have a garage full of his stuff I still need to send to him

Well well well with a blender, a king size bed and an Applebees. Que mas quieres?

We look forward to hearing about all of your adventures.

con mucho carino
